My wife and I had been married for a few years when the foundation of our relationship began to crack. What started as distance became silence. What was once intimacy became isolation. We were two people living in the same home but moving in different directions. One day, she told me something I never thought I’d hear: “Maybe separation is the best path for both of us.”
That moment broke me.
